Join the team at Somerset Archives for a joint celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III and Somerset Day. See royal documents, have a behind-the-scenes tour and enjoy the opportunity to chat about your memories of royal occasions. Bring along your own royal items such as photographs, cards and orders of service so you can share your stories over a cup of tea and a biscuit.

See Somerset documents and objects relating to royals through the centuries including a rhyming chronology of the Kings of England from William I to Henry VI, a letter featuring the signature of Elizabeth I, Great Seals, and other documents celebrating coronations and jubilees.

Booked Tours: Tours of the strongrooms are at 10.00 am and 11.00 am and booking is required.

Drop-in ‘Show and Tell’ and Display: Drop in between 10.00 am and 12.30 pm to see copies of royal documents on display in the searchroom, bring along your royal memorabilia and share your royal recollections.
