Celebrating Somerset Day in Somerton
Somerton is pulling out all the stops this year for Somerset Day, and you’re invited to join the celebrations! From delicious local treats to inspiring art and hands-on workshops, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in our beautiful market town.
9am until 12 noon. Kick off the day at Wessex Market in the Parish Rooms, Market Place, where local makers, growers and producers will be showcasing the very best of Somerset’s rich and creative spirit. There will be additional stalls in the adjoining Pinney Room too.
Somerton Gardeners' Club will be holding their annual plant sale outside Somerton library.
Craft House Chocolate are adding a sweet touch to the festivities with the launch of a limited-edition Somerset Day chocolate bar and more!
Pop into ACEarts to explore a stunning new landscape painting exhibition by Somerset artist Georgina King, and treat yourself to a traditional cream tea while you’re there.
Mrs McGregor’s Craft Emporium will be offering a crochet flower workshop from 10am to 12 noon – perfect for anyone crafty or wants to try something new.
Enjoy a browse through Somerton Antiques, where you’ll find 10% off all items over £20!
Somerton’s pubs are celebrating in true Somerset style:
The White Hart is serving up a special “Made in Somerset” menu, packed with local produce and perfectly paired with Somerset’s finest ciders.

Have a cheeky Somerset cider from local makers Tricky Cider, pitched up in Market Place.
